Katie Derham has placed fourth on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 45-year-old television presenter and her professional dance partner Anton Du Beke have been voted off the BBC One show during tonight's (19.12.15) showstopping final.
Speaking after her exit, she said: "I'm pleased as punch to be here. I can't tell you - this is not my natural habitat and I can't believe I'm here. I'm in the final; I came down in a sparkly box from 20 feet in the air like a pop star. It was amazing.
"I've learnt to dance and for that I have you [Anton] to thank. I'm just chuffed to bits and this is the right decision. These guys are unbelievably awesome and I'm so looking forward to seeing them dance."
Whilst her partner Anton told her simply: "You are joyous."
Meanwhile, the BBC Proms host appeared to admit she thought Anita Rani should have gone through during last week's show.
She said previously: "We both danced our socks off but she had better socks than me that night. If Anita was here she'd be laughing alongside me. She and I have had the best time. We were in the dance-off and one of us had to go. She said to me, 'Mate, it's a format, it's fine.' That's the way it is. She's got loyal fans. I'm one. They're upset she didn't get through. But that's the show. And there was nothing either of us could do."
Katie's departure leaves Jay McGuiness, Georgia May Foote and Kellie Bright fighting to win the series and the coveted Glitterball trophy.
