Jay McGuiness swigged down some whisky just before his performance on 'Strictly Come Dancing' over the weekend.

The former Wanted singer, 25, was handed the alcoholic beverage by a television executive called Louise just before him and his partner Aliona Vilani took to the dance floor, and he believes the booze boosted his performance which, subsequently, led to him winning this year's Glitterball prize.
Speaking on 'Lorraine' this morning (21.12.15), he said: "A lovely TV executive called Louise gifted us some whisky so I was a little bit warm during that [performance]. A wee nip."
And, although he's spent the last three months training hard for the live shows, the handsome star still hasn't had enough of the sparkly costumes, heavy makeup and ballroom shoes as he's planning to re-watch the whole series again.
He explained his plans for Christmas: "I'm going to take a week off and watch the whole series now."
Meanwhile, Jay has grown close to Aliona over the past 12 weeks, sparking rumours there's a romantic connection between them, but he's adamant they're just friends and he'd never ruin her marriage with Vincent Kavanagh.
He said: "I think when you dance with someone you have to create romance and people want to see that. No matter what I say people will say what they want.
"We're just friends. Me, her and her husband and my family, we just became a big family."
