James Tindale is said to have been axed from forthcoming series of Geordie Shore.
The star's been with the MTV reality series since it began in 2011, but is said to have been dropped by bosses just days before he was set to begin filming for series 10.
Despite being younger than 26-year-old Gary 'Gaz' Beadle, and same-aged Charlotte Crosby (24), James is reported ot have been cut so that younger castmates can join the show.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper a source revealed: "Geordie Shore is James's life. He's gutted that he has been put into early retirement."
A number of changes have shaken up the Geordie Shore house since series one, with stars including Sophie Kasaei, Ricci Guarnaccio and Jay Gardner all leaving to make way for new faces such as Marnie Simpson, Aaron Chalmers and Kyle Christie.
Meanwhile, Vicki Pattison quit the show last month claiming that she felt she'd outgrown it.
Speaking at the time of the announcement she said: "I know a lot of the people in the house are going to be quite content to sort of be 40-years-old and still downing jagerbombs and bucking birds, but for me that was just never an option."
James and Vicky have been replaced by a new boy whose identity hasn't been revealed, and a new girl named Chloe November.
