Strictly Come Dancing's Jake Wood has denied ever having dancing lessons prior to his time on the BBC One series.
The EastEnders actors soared to the top of the leaderboard last weekend with his eye-catching salsa, meaning onlookers suggested his skills are due to previous teachings.
Jake clarified through his Twitter: "Just to clarify I have never had a dance lesson in my life. Ever. Fact #StrictlyComeDancing #HisNameIsJake. (sic)"
He earned a massive 35 points for his routine, which featured three dramatic lifts with professional partner Janette Manrara.
After the performance, Bruno Tonioli said: "Yes, a squillion times, yes! I tell you - hips don't lie! That was undiluted full-on fantastic!" whilst head judge Len Goodman simply commented: "Spank me gently with a wet shammy!"
Gregg Wallace and partner Aliona Vilani became the first pair to be eliminated from the competition.
