Four stars of The Only Way Is Essex are reported to be fighting it out for a place in this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

Gemma Collins, Ferne McCann, Chloe Sims and Jessica Wright are said to be desperate to follow in the footsteps of Joey Essex and Mark Wright - both who secured their own spin-off shows following their time in the jungle.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper a source revealed: "It's becoming really competitive between the TOWIE girls. They all really want to do it and are busy working away at their bikini bodies.

"Plus they're excited about the prospect of getting their own show - like Mark and Joey."

Filming in the Australian jungle begins next month when the current series of TOWIE is over, meaning all four girls are available for the slot.

Mark's sister Jess revealed earlier in the year she'd be more than up for the challenge of eating bugs and performing stunts on the show.

At the time she said: "About a year ago, I couldn't have done the jungle because I suffered from anxiety and I would have been a nervous wreck. But since then I've become such a different person and really strong, so I'd absolutely embrace the jungle and would love it."
