Tony Hadley has denied claims he bullied Lady Colin Campbell.
The 66-year-old star threatened to take the Spandau Ballet singer and former 'Dragons' Den' star Duncan Bannatyne to court after claiming their treatment of her was the reason she quit 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!', but Tony's now insisted she was the only one behaving like a bully.
He said: "Everyone who knows me, knows that I'm no bully. I didn't want any confrontations in the jungle, but I won't sit there and allow somebody to call me a buffoon and Brain [Friedman] a 'bitchy old queen'. Who is she to talk about another person's sexuality? She has no right to do that.
"I will defend anyone I care about. I don't care if she has a title and I don't care where she comes from. What she did was not nice. It just wasn't nice."
The 55-year-old star also claimed he was shocked by her behaviour because he got on well with her to begin with.
Tony told ITV's 'This Morning': "I did not bully her. In fact , when she came into the jungle, we all treated her with the utmost respect. And in the beginning she really was so funny and charming with all these incredible stories.
"I don't know what happened but then this tirade of abuse started. She was like Jekyll and Hyde."
Tony's comments come after his wife Alison admitted she was proud of the way he handled himself in the jungle.
She said previously: "He's one of the most kindest and generous men I know and for him to have to put up with that language, I'm proud of him.
"I think as soon as she left the camp, you saw the mood shift."
