Gino D'Acampo thinks that Melanie Sykes would be "great" if she headed into the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.
The television presenter has been long-rumoured to be one of the contestants heading to Australia to take part in the ITV series, and her friend Gino thinks his "TV wife" will be one to watch.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Gino said: "Knowing Melanie she will go for anything, which is great."
Gino himself won the ninth series of the programme back in 2009 and says that Mel will be excellent at swapping her usual culinary delights for stomach-churning Bushtucker Trial delicacies.
"She's a very good sport so she will be up for all of that".
Other stars rumoured to be joining Mel in the jungle are Olympian Tom Daley, ex-TOWIE star Gemma Collins and ex-Hollyoaks actress Gemma Merna.
Gino was speaking ahead of his appearance at the Ideal Home Show at Christmas (Idealhomeshowchristmas.co.uk) which takes place at Earls Court in London from November 19 to 23 and at Event City in Manchester between November 14 to 16.
