Ferne McCann is being lined up to replace Lisa Snowdon on Capital FM.
The 43-year-old model recently announced her departure from the breakfast show she co-hosts with Dave Berry and 'The Only Way Is Essex' star Ferne, 25, is one of the favourites to step into her shoes.
However, she faces competition from 'Made In Chelsea' star Lucy Watson, 25, and model Lilah Parsons, 27.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Lisa's job is one of the hottest vacancies around.
"It's not just a daily radio gig to a million listeners - it means playing host to some of the hottest gigs of the year, the Jingle Bell Ball and Summertime Ball.
"It also means interviewing A List celebrities on a daily basis. It's a brilliant role, that all three are desperate to get."
Ferne won over the public with her recent stint in the jungle on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!', making her a "hot favourite" for the presenting role.
The insider added: "Ferne's stint in the jungle has made her a hot favourite for it. She's got the gift for the gab - she proved in the jungle she has great chat.
"She's also young and loves a party so will have plenty of on air gossip - though the 4am starts could hinder that."
All three have met with host Dave, who has been presenting the show since 2012.
