No sooner had Dani departed when a row in Camp broke out about who would take her bed.
Most of the celebrities all felt that it should go to Esther but the broadcaster admitted that she was happy to stay outside. David quickly added that he would like to take Daniâs bed, âwell Iâve had a crappy time so I could go on the busâ. âI would be honoured to have youâ replied George.â
Dismissing the suggestion, Brian then asked Martina if she would like to stay on the bus but she too declined. With no-one else opting to sleep there, David continued his quest for the bed âIâve been lying on the floor for 10 days, why shouldnât I move in the bus.â
âDavid if anyoneâs uncomfortable whenever and they want to sleep on there the next night..â suggested Carly.
David replied, âReally you think so?...No I donât think so Iâve been sitting on the floor quite a long enough actually. I donât need you to tell me where I can sleep.â
Nicola jumped to her friendâs defense and told the 80âs singer ânot to speak to her (Carly) like that, she was being nice then.â
As Brian stepped in and suggested he could have said that nicer, David replied: âItâs so direct all the time telling me where I can sleep.â
Nicola then added that David had been offered a hammock and chose not to take it, David said âBut I canât manage it, youâre 20 years younger than me.â
Angered by his behavior, Nicola then said âYouâve got the mental age of an eight year old. Youâre the perfect example of why you shouldnât do what you did in your hay day.â
âWhat a happy birthday Iâm havingâ muttered David.
Having won the battle and gained a bed on the bus David went with George to have a look at his new sleeping quarters âSo Iâm living in the penthouse nowâ. Asking George if he wants to swap, David then found some of Daniâs things and proceeded to throw them of the bus. George later added âDavid is not the most diplomatic or sensitive person.â
