Unbeknown to David, his fellow camp mates rumbled his plan yesterday and conversation soon turned back to this topic whilst David was out with Simon collecting the Celebrity Chest.
Martina was shocked when Joe admitted that he thought that he would go tomorrow, âI think youâre going to win the whole thing, I doâ she said and revealed that she thought David should be the first to go.
Still deeply hurt by Davidâs apparent behaviour, Joe said âYou know what does my head in the most with it yeah is that he has been here fourteen days and for fourteen days Iâve campaigned for him, Iâve stood up for him... Iâve helped him mingle into the group and then he wants to make me jealous thatâs a really, really quite a low down thing to do. Iâm not going to say nothing to him, Iâm just going to let ride.
âSome people like David are just so desperate for a career afterwards its last chance saloon for himâ added Nicola.
She later said in the Bush Telegraph, âJoe is such a nice boy, and he has been gullible but he said he would have done the same on the outside word because he believed it, now heâs started to see that David was just acting.â
Joe continued to his fellow camp mates, âPeople come in here and play a game but I do think thereâs a lot of people that are playing a game. But thereâs playing a game and then thereâs dragging someone else into it trying to trip them up, he tried to use me.â
Agreeing with Joe, Nicola also said that she thought he was trying to cause the arguments when he first arrived in camp.â
George then said, âA snake in the grass. I think David is basically that kind of person, a manipulator.â
âIâm so gullible George, I will believe anything anyone says to meâ admitted Joe. âI would have too, thatâs why I admired your sense of decency and fairness in standing up for himâ replied George.
âI find it interesting watching David now that he has got inside of us,â continued Nicola. âAnd you know, "Oh thanks Nicola for the rice" - when did he ever thank anyone? He was so rude doing the chores heâs only been doing that for the past two days he just used to go up on that bus on his own or get Joe away from us.â
A resigned Joe then said âYou live and learn donât you Georgeâ, offering the actor some words of wisdom, George then added âAnd thatâs going to be true no matter how long you live.â
