All of the celebrities were eligible for the Live Trial and for the first time ever, they all gathered in the Trials Area to watch.
The Trial was called Jungle Gym and featured the Iâm A Celebrity special work out equipment. All of the celebrities gathered on bleachers so they could watch their unfortunate camp mate compete to win stars for the group and therefore food.
The celebrities looked on nervously as Ant and Dec ran through their names but it was Robert who the public had chosen - again. "They obviously love me," he said.
"They want to see more of you. Each station has a few added surprises. You have a couple of minutes to get prepared and limber up." replied Ant and Dec. Medic Bob also had some ominous words of wisdom. "My advice is in the sauna to move very very slowly."
Robert went to the first exercise station - the Bug Bike. He had to pedal for one minute whist cockroaches and other jungle critters were thrown at him. His camp mates laughed in encouragement and he won his first star.
The second was the Push Ups Of Pain where Robert had to do a push up with his head in a box and retrieve three stars with his teeth. Of course each star was guarded by a different jungle critter - sand worms, rats and eels. Nicola shouted words of encouragement "Think of your family," while Joe added "Think of the food." Again, Robert was successful.
The next task was the Bite Bag - a unique punch bag that Robert had to rip open to retrieve a star. This time, the star was surrounded by green ants.
He then had to drink a Super C Shake - "full of crittermin C" Dec said. In fact it was a blend of foul smelling cheese fruit, cockroaches and crickets. Again Robert downed the concoction and won the star.
The next task was the Death Row. Robert had to row with his head encased in a canopy of spiders and stick insects. Again he had to retrieve the stars with his teeth and he did so successfully.
The penultimate challenge was the Stench Press. Robert had to use a bench press while meal worms, cockroaches, slime, and jungle fauna were dropped on his head. By this stage Timmy Mallet could be heard in hysterical laughter ribbing his camp mate. After successfully completing the challenge, Robert gave Timmy a hug covering him with the jungle mess.
For his last challenge, Robert had to sit in the Sore-na, a sauna type contraption full of snakes. He had to manoeuvre two stars across a metal grid whilst avoiding the snakes. Again Robert was successful as his team mates chanted "Silksy!" as encouragement.
Once again, Robert won maximum points for the team and ensured they would all have a meal that night. They returned to camp as Nicola kindly poured the contents of her water bottle over him to rid him of the worse of the jungle critters.
