Before they headed off to complete the trial, both Nicola and Joe spoke of their apprehensions of what lay ahead.

Nicola: “It’s because I’m the least liked.”

Esther: “It’s because you’re the most interesting.”

Robert: “You did a good thing on the lake but they probably want to see more of you, frankly.”

Simon: “All the blokes voted to see you.”

Speaking to the Bush Telegraph Joe said: “It’s important that I bring back some food today but saying that we’ve had food for the last two days so if I don’t bring back any food we can’t really complain about it can we? I’m going to give it my best shot and see what happens. I hope they don’t pick me week after week like they did with Janice Dickinson.”
