Nadine Dorries

Nadine Dorries

Nadine Dorries came out of the jungle claiming victory and vowing to use her I’ A Celebrity fame to topple PM David Cameron.

The 55-year-old MP, told the Sun she wanted to end Camerons “controlling” Downing Street regime, adding “I long for the day Boris Johnson is Prime Minister.”

Hoping to continue her 'ten minutes' of fame and fend off heavy criticism from within her party and within her constituency the MP tried to justify her behaviour by attacking her colleagues.

And she accused critics within her party of taking an infantile and stupid reaction to her decision to become the first serving MP to sign up for ITV jungle show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!

The MP for Mid-Bedfordshire was suspended by the Conservatives and labelled selfish and irresponsible for taking four weeks away from her duties to compete in the Australian jungle test.

Dorries is well aware that this venture to court publicity could backfire and send her career into meltdown but has so far refused to apologise or explain why she took the controversial move. Rather than that she lashed out at critics, saying her temporary suspension had been nothing more than a bid to stop her causing trouble.

Dorries has brushed off questions about a Parliamentary probe into her behaviour insisting she couldn’t care less about breaching the MPs’ code of conduct.

She said she have achieved exactly what I set out to achieve by going into the jungle. that was to reach a wider audience, but Nadine has not considered that by reaching a bigger audience she may have she may have alienated herself from many more people in the process. .

The fact that she was the first one to leave the jungle by receiving the lowest number of votes underlined the publics disinterest in her would indicate that rather than further her ambitions she has in fact damaged her standing.

The standing MP has also attracted a great deal of so called 'hate mail' so rather than try to curry favour with Boris Johnson she may be better advised to talk to her constituents after all these are the people that she was elected to represent and its their opinion above all that matters.
