Conversation drifted to wildlife in the Home Camp and Martina recounted her previous experiences on safari. She said âA friend of mine went for a trip in the bush. So this rhino is eating and weâre coming from behind and weâre maybe three yards away and this rhino is bending over and all of a sudden itâs . . . boom. [Coming towards us] just like that. It was so fast. We back up."
Joe tells the camp that the most dangerous animal in Africa is the hippo. "They just open their mouth," he explained.
"Theyâre more dangerous out of the water," said Martina.
She revealed that she saw lions mating. "Have they got big willies?" enquired Joe.
Martina replied: "You donât see them. Theyâre sort of long and pointy and they copulate for a day, a day and a half every half an hour."
Joe said: "You know why a lion has a mane. Itâs for fighting because when they get bitten on the neck thereâs so much hair there they donât get bitten on the vital organs. I donât know why the females have them because theyâre the hunters."
