Marc and Cerys continued to spend time together in the camp.

They were by the river washing when he said: “I can see your knickers from here. And the back.”

“It’s alright, they’re clean”, she replied.

“Ah you little sweetheart. You’ve had two washes since you’ve been here. Six days, two washes, one every three days. Brilliant.

“I’ve had two. You’ve had two, I’ve had two. I’m having a good day today.”

Later, when John and Cerys were making Gemma’s birthday treat, Marc approached her and they danced while she sang Tiptoe Through The Tulips.

In the evening whilst everyone was around the camp fire, they danced again. “Do you do any dancing?” Marc asked while waltzing with her and then hugging her.

“Only when I’m in the mood, when I think I’m amazing. I do everything, the splits,” she replied.

Marc asked Cerys if she’d done all her jobs and then invited her to lie next to him. “I can’t be caught sleeping on the job,” she joked, as she lay next to him and they spooned.

“I feel a bit flat, a bit tired. I can’t be bothered to listen to everyone,” Marc said whilst embracing her.

“Well this is nice darlin’. Do you miss having a little cuddle? Out in the wilderness. You feel so lonely don’t you,” he said.

They discussed how they would both like to buy some land and Marc said that he’d like to buy a camel.

Later Cerys again joined Marc on his bed and he put his arm around her. They lay in bed chatting and she sang a riddle to him. She explained that it was an old American song. Marc was impressed and told her it was lovely. She then tried to sing another folk song, but stopped after she told him she didn’t have a guitar with her.
