After Davidâs comments to Nicola prior to the Bush Tucker Trial, Joe came to his defence.
He said: "I can say what I want to these people but you say something . . . . You said yesterday to Timmy about performing and you say one little thing and thereâs a big argument."
Simon said: "Iâm not getting involved. Some people let things go on and some people donât. Some people let things go on for a lot longer than it should. Some people know how to manipulate other people and some people donât and thatâs what Iâm seeing. Manipulation all over the place. No oneâs right and no oneâs wrong. Itâs spread in the last couple of days."
Joe said: "Iâve really got to stay out of it because Iâm getting involved in stuff I donât need to get involved in. Itâs ruining my time and I know itâs annoying Simon (as well)."
Simon added: "Why would I want to get involved and someone being snidey to someone else?"
David said: "It depends on your definition of snide."
But Davidâs earlier taunts to Nicola had annoyed Simon. He reacted to David. "I know what snide is. Maybe it was the way I was raised and the way you was raised. Thereâs a time and a place and itâs how you say things. But what I donât like seeing is someone on their way to a trial riled up about something that they donât need to be riled up about."
But Joe pointed out to Simon "Donât you think she riled herself up because she doesnât like David. Sheâs doing it to herself."
Simon added: "Letâs not pretend. You (David) donât like her."
