Playboy model Kayla Collins is ready to fall in love under the jungle stars.
The pretty 23-year-old, who has modelled for the Playboy magazine in the US, says she is single and she is up for a romance if she meets the right man.
“I am single,” says Kayla. “I think if I had a boyfriend, it would have been a lot harder decision for me (to do this). I have no boyfriend, no commitments and I am excited to get away for a bit. It’s going to be me time.
“Would I fall in love in the jungle? Yes I would if someone was of interest. I love athletic guys, a great personality and someone who is funny. Personality is very important to me.”
As well as being ready for finding love, Kayla is also bringing plenty of bikinis to model. She plans to wear many different outfits during her time on the programme.
“Of course I will be wearing bikinis,” she chuckles. “I have a new swimwear line coming out in 2011 and I will be taking lots of my own outfits.”
Although she is scared of spiders and creepy crawlies, she says she is looking forward to going on the show.
“As it gets closer, I am getting more and more excited,” she adds. “It’s going to be such an amazing experience. I haven’t seen the English version, but I have seen the show in the US and I’m really looking forward to making new friends. I think it will definitely change me. I have never done anything like this before. It’s going to be a life changing experience.
“As for my role in the camp, well I am goofy and fun. I am hoping I can put a smile on everyone’s faces. I will always be there too as a shoulder to cry on as I am sensitive.
“I am not argumentative but if people are mean to me or treat me the wrong way, I will defend myself for sure.”
Kayla admits, however, she won’t be very good eating small portions of food. “I know I am going to be starving in the jungle,” she says. “I love eating a lot! That is going to be hard for me and I don’t actually want to lose any weight. I am really hoping I don’t.
“I do work out a couple of hours every day but I haven’t done anything to prepare for jungle life. In fact I’ve been eating the biggest breakfasts – waffles, eggs and bacon - to treat myself. I know I really should be pushing back on the portions!”
Yet one thing Kayla is not in a rush to eat is a slimy bug. “If I have to eat anything, I am more than likely to throw it up,” she replies. “I have a really weak stomach.”
Kayla says she will miss her phone and computer the most whilst in the jungle but thinks it will be “liberating” not to be able to use them.
And if she could choose any star to join her in the jungle, it would have to be Lady GaGa. “because I don’t think she would ever survive!”
“All my friends and family have been so supportive,” adds Kayla. “They think it is an amazing thing to do and they don’t think I am mad. It’s going to be really crazy.”
