"Wild" Biggins Gets All Seven Stars In Web Sight Trial

Cerys talks about Marc: "When I did this I didn’t expect it to turn out the way it has. I didn’t think that you could get so intense in such a short small amount of time with anybody."

Biggins proved to be the jungle’s very own Spiderman when he faced a host of the jungle nasties in the day’s Bushtucker Trial and walked away with all seven stars.

As Biggins made his way to meet Ant and Dec through the trees Dec sang: "If you go down to the woods today..."Biggins sang back: "You’re sure of a big surprise."’

He then joked: "They don’t get much bigger than me except.."Ant told him: "Look at that eh? Trim Biggins. Trim."

Biggins joked that he regretted his decision to volunteer to do the trial.Dec said: "I thought you’d say that."

Ant then explained: "The trial is called Web Sight. No unfortunately it doesn’t involve you checking your emails or finding out what’s going on in the world. This is a spider chamber. You’re going to be lowered into the spider chamber where you will search for your stars. The stars are in funnels you’ve got to put your arm in and grab the stars. Now, the stars aren’t on their own, there’s spiders in there with them and you’ve got to be careful because once you break the membrane of the funnels and reach for your stars the spiders will be able to come out of the funnels and join you in the chamber."Biggins was given five minutes to grab the seven stars in the Perspex chamber.

Dec told him he could choose not to do the new trial but bullish Biggins replied: "Listen you’re talking to the new man - the new Biggins."Ant joked: "The wild Biggins."

Biggins agreed with a roar: "The wild Biggins!"

As Medic Bob told Biggins about the spiders Biggins asked: "They don’t react to screams and things?"

Bob reassured him: "Only vibrations."

Ant said: "Why did you ask that question at the end?"Biggins: "Because there might be the odd scream - I’m not that butch."

Ant told him: "You haven’t changed that much then you’re not that wild."

"It’s only been a week," joked Biggins.

He was then lowered into the chamber. He put his hand in the first funnel and grabbed the star - shaking off a spider in the process. As he put his hand into the second funnel he said: "Oh my God. Christ what’s that? What’s that noise?"

Again he successfully managed to get the star and also grabbed the third star in the next funnel.

But Biggins became nervous. He asked: "There’s a noise behind me."

Ant told him: "There might be some more spiders joining you in the tank."

As Biggins continued with the fourth chamber Ant warned him: "There’s one on your arm there so take it nice and steady you don’t want it to bite you."

Biggins pulled the next star out and screamed.

The actor and TV presenter then spoke gobbledygook as he nervously reached for the next star and Ant said: "I didn’t know you spoke spider."

The boys then asked him to count his starts and he said: "Seven. Oh my God."

Dec said: "That was brilliant."

Biggins screamed with delight as he was winched out of the chamber.

"Oh yes, they’re going to be so thrilled with me," he said.

Dec asked him: "You’ll have seven meals tonight so who’s going to cook it - the camp chef has gone?"

Biggins joked: "The camp chef?"

Dec replied: "Well the camp’s chef - the camp’s cook - has gone."

"I think Cerys will like to cook tonight. We’ll be fine, we’ll be fine. Rodney will lie down and have a sleep and we’ll be fine," Biggins said.

Ant replied: "You’ve got a little restaurant going on down there, haven’t you? Could we have a table for about 7.30/8?"

Biggins: "You can bring your own wine though."
