Esther Avoids the vote

Esther won immunity from the public vote off in the final Bush Battle beating off competition from Martina, Nicola and Brian.

The celebrities were told to pack their things for an overnight stay in the middle of the jungle and they set off on their trek to their new beds full of grit and determination. Faces fell however, when they discovered that each of them must spend the night in an underground coffin with only jungle creatures to keep them company.

‘I was up against such talent, Martina, Brian as bold as an iron and I won, not in a million years did I think I would, that’s amazing.’

Hearing that the celerity to last the longest would be exempt from the public vote, Nicola was the first to resist. ‘I’m going to let the public decide my fate, it’s different when you are doing things to win meals for the camp, but this, I don’t think so.’

While Brian and Esther decided they were going to give it a go, Martina said she’d back Nicola up on whether she wanted to do the battle or not. ‘Is it worth it to you for one extra day, it’s not worth it to me. If you go in, I’ll go in if you don’t I won’t.’

As the celebrities were locked in to their beds Esther’s thoughts were ‘I cannot leave this magical experience without having a glimpse at hell.’

Within seconds Nicola was calling ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here’. ‘I didn’t even like that thing being closed, I’ve let myself down, I came here to confront my fears and I’d like to have done it but I can’t. I don’t want to be voted off first, nobody does, but I won’t see this as being voted off.’

Before the remaining celebrities got too comfortable, the rangers poured cockroaches into the coffins. Esther’s technique was to tell the critters fairytales and started reciting Cinderella which put off Brian who said he was trying to visualize himself in Ibiza - without Esther.

Martina soon decided she too had endured enough and as she was released she said: ‘None of us want to be the first person to go but it wasn’t worth the anxiety, it’s up to the public, let the chips fall where they may.’

With just Brian still remaining as her competition, Esther told off the cockroaches for crawling in her bra and the other insects for biting her and continued her Cinderella tale.

Brian was next to say ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here’.

‘The thing was to give it a go and after three bucket loads of crittiers I felt it was the time to quit.’

Esther continued very calmly and then asked to be taken out. ‘I can’t believe I’ve won,’ she exclaimed. ‘I was up against such talent, Martina, Brian as bold as an iron and I won, not in a million years did I think I would, that’s amazing.’
