David Van Day
David talked about his time in the jungle which started when he came across Timmy in a net and then he was swooped up and then lowered into a jail.
‘It was a absolutely hell hole, I’ve never been in anything like this in my life. Terrifying start to my time here and I think it sent me over the edge for a bit.
‘The celebrities in the camp could of set us free if they gave up a luxury item but they didn’t, no wonder I had the hump when I turned up here. It bonded Timmy and I together and we had to rely on each other for morale.
’When we initially entered the camp everything was fine but things turned sour when they wanted me to go into a cave but I wasn’t having any of it. They made us feel like complete outsiders it was diabolical and they’ve all paid for it dearly.
'In spite of all the gloom and doom Timmy and I stuck together and wrote our song Biff Baff Boff. But the day I won the bed on the bus was a great Van Day. Nicola had an instant dislike to me from the first time we met.’
