Gregg Wallace "absolutely hated" 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The MasterChef judge was the first celebrity to be voted off the BBC dance contest last year and has now revealed the stress of trying to impress the judges saw him break out in cold sores.
He said: "No. No. No. I didn't enjoy it in any way, shape or form. Well, apart from the last day on the final.
"I really enjoyed dancing on the final and I enjoyed the practising and the physical side of it, I liked that, but performing something that I wasn't good at? No, I hated it. Absolutely hated it."
The 50-year-old star opened up about how his experience on the show left him emotionally drained.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Yeah, possibly I did. But I was very relieved to have gone.
"I was so bad my face broke out in cold sores, that's how stressed I was! It was incredible, I'd never experienced anything like it. I was in tears on the second week."
Gregg also confessed he didn't feel like the money he received for taking part was worth the anxiety he suffered.
He added: "It just opened up a dark side of my personality that I didn't know existed.
"And what it was is that if there's anything that I'm not good at, I work really hard at it to make sure I am, that's what I am like.
"And on 'Strictly' I didn't have time to be good and it freaked me out so I was worse than average because I just got myself worked up and it led to a panic because I knew I wasn't going to be very good."
