Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards was asked to take part in the German version of 'Strictly Come Dancing' earlier this year.
The 52-year-old ski jumper has admitted he was approached by bosses of the Ballroom and Latin show to take part in 'Let's Dance' but he was forced to turn down the offer because he was tied up promoting his self-titled film.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "One of these days I might do 'Strictly Come Dancing'. I was asked to do 'Strictly...' in Germany this year but I was tied up with the film so I had to turn them down. They might ask me next year."
And, although the athlete is desperate to slip into a skin-time ballroom suit embellished with sequins and get freaky with some beautiful professional dancers, he has revealed a slot on the line-up for the UK show isn't an option for this year as he's so busy working on his comic shows around the UK.
He explained: "The UK version haven't been in touch yet but I wouldn't be able to do it this year anyway because I'm so busy but who knows, I might be able to do it next year.
"I wouldn't mind grappling with some of those young dancers they've got on there."
Meanwhile, Eddie is performing as part of the Just For Laughs comedy festival which is taking over Russell Square in London from 13th - 24th July. For more information please visit http://www.justforlaughslondon.com.
