Craig Revel Horwood wants Simon Cowell to appear on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
While 'Strictly' and Cowell's 'The X Factor' are locked in a ratings war, with 'Strictly' currently ahead, Craig teased that Simon should appear on the show "he'd get more viewers that way".
He told Woman magazine: "My thoughts are turning to the Christmas special and I'd love to see Simon Cowell on it.
"He might need to do it after this year's dismal X Factor ratings. At least he'd get more viewers that way."
And Craig thinks that Simon fit right in on 'Strictly', quipping: "Simon would fit right in on the dancefloor with those high trousers."
Craig has his own views on why 'X Factor's ratings are down, explaining: "I've watched a bit of this series - and there are some fantastic voices, but they've been given terrible material."
Simon previously claimed 'X Factor' would trounce 'Strictly' in the ratings because of the latter's poor line-up.
Asked if he was worried about going head-to-head with the show, he said: "I hate to say yes because I know what will happen if I say yes, it will come back and haunt me ... I think the show, just watching it back, it does feel better. The talent's great, they're interesting ... So if it's us versus Peter Andre, I've got to put my money on us."
