Winston McKenzie claims he was "targeted" in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house.
The axed contestant believes he was set-up to be the first celebrity to be evicted from the show after his comment, where he called adoption by gay parents "child abuse," was revealed to the house.
He said: "I think it's unfair for people to judge me on what was said years ago. It's very unfair. I didn't wilfully go out to insult anybody. We live in a democracy. We are allowed freedom of expression.
"That was their time - their deal was to get Winston out. I feel they could have waited with that. They know that speaking about those issues is very emotive. The idea, in my view, was to get me out.
"I was targeted from the start, from the very off. It was a case of, 'Get Winston out'. Because I was a threat. I honestly believe that."
The 62-year-old politician was also criticised for his treatment of his female housemates but he believes the women were "specifically trying to provoke a reaction".
He added to the Daily Star on Sunday newspaper: "I think that was very unfair. Some of the girls were very explicit in their behaviour. It's down to the individual girls to conduct themselves in such a manner that is not sexually explicit or revealing to the fellas. At times I felt like they were trying to stitch me up. I'm a red-blooded male and if a lady walks by half-dressed, of course I'm going to look.
"The women were specifically trying to provoke a reaction from me. There were instances where I realised one was trying to set me up. She was changing and being sexual in front of me. When she said she wanted to lose weight and I helped her with some exercises she dressed very revealingly and I think she deliberately laid it on so something would happen."
