Ruth Langsford has banned her husband Eamonn Holmes from ever competing in Celebrity Big Brother, because she doesn't want the nation to see him in his pants.
The This Morning host is refusing to let Eamonn onto the Channel 5 reality show, claiming she wouldn't "have people see what [he's] really like," after he was asked to appear on the show.
Eamonn, 55, said: "I have been asked to do Celebrity Big Brother and I say to Ruth, 'I don't think we can ignore this now.' She is like, 'That is not happening. I am not having people see what you're really like. You and your underwear.' It boils down to my underwear why I am not allowed to go on."
The Sky News anchor, who has been criticised in the past over his weight, added he would rather have a "personality" than be "thin" and c**p".
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "I could give you a list of people who are thin, c**p and have no personality, I just work hard. The gods up there dictate."
Eamonn has been asked by show bosses to enter the house following a brief guest appearance on last year's series which saw Katie Price crowned queen of the house over Katie Hopkins.
