Kelsey says that her strategy going into the house "is to sort of have no strategy". Hoping to have fun, she does admit she's going to miss her nine-year-old Chihuahua Harley.

If she won the $100k prize, she explains: "I would give back to my family - my mom, sister and dad. They've been supportive and they've been helping me out forever. I'd go somewhere on a trip to Africa or back to Asia. I spent some time at an Elephant Conservation Centre while I was in Thailand and so I'd like to go back and volunteer my time a bit longer. I'm also trying to get my pilot's license. I haven't started that process yet because it's so expensive, so winning would allow me to do that."

"I'm going to try and stay under the radar for the first little while, and make some relationships and throw every competition possible at the beginning. And then beyond that, it's all about the social side. I could stab anyone in the back - I know people say that but in my case it's true. They get emotional. I don't. To win, you have to cut ties eventually. Around day 42 I'll be ready for a showmance. I definitely don't want one right away. Girls are trouble in my life! They can't be controlled. I'll wait till it's a bit safer."

Jon Pardy is his Big Brother Canada idol: "I feel like we'd get along great, have a few pints, watch some hockey. Oh man - I've gotta meet that guy. I wouldn't say I'm going to be like him in the house, I mean he's Jon Pardy, no one can be him. But I think we're boys, and I think we'd see eye-to-eye on everything. I just have a bit more edge to me."

Fearing both the brawn and brain challenges during her time in the house, Christine says she'll hope to "lay low while the big strong players duke it out" before kicking it into "high gear later".

Describing herself as "entrepreneurial", she'd put the prize money into a business if she walked away winner, and says she has thousands of business ideas ready and waiting to go.

Successful YouTuber Mitchell would take his boyfriend into the house for "emotional support" if he were allowed! Having been together with him for nine years and creating their YouTube channel together, it may be tough for this guy to spend so much time apart from his life partner.

He says that if he won the $100,000, he'd give it all to his parents: "I love them so much and they've given me so much in terms of opportunities to be successful. There aren't very many chances in life where you get a bulk sum of money and can just do something good with it. Maybe I could help them retire a little early or something."

In three words, Sharry describes herself as "outgoing, competitive and fun", and says her strategy to win is simply to be herself, listening more than she speaks and remaining agile in the house.

"By agile I mean I will take each day at a time, stay flexible and bend and manipulate my strategy as things shift," she explains. If she won the $100,000 prize, she says she'd get a "nice home" for her girlfriend and her, hoping to put the money down "on a beautiful place so we could continue to grow our life together."

Dallas wants to take the win for the first Head of Household competition during the game, and says: "I want everyone coming to me and trying to be my friend. After that I want to form an alliance with a male and a female houseguest. Sometimes it comes down to a bit of a gender war in there so it would be good to be covered on both sides."

He's a big fan of season 3's Kevin: "He was social. He was smart, and he kind of got hooped by a triple eviction. There wasn't much he could do about that. He was just a funny, light kind of guy. I'm definitely going to use some strategy he used while I'm in there."

Cassandra Shahinfar, 22, Social Media Strategist from Winnipeg, MB

Cassandra loves her wine, and would take a bottomless bottle of it into the house if she had the option! She says of her strategy: "Cassandra means seducer of all men so that can work for a strategy - making everyone fall in love with me! I can talk to any person at any age and get to know them. I plan to use my social skills in the house to get to know everyone, and make them feel I'm just there to have fun and be their friend and not necessarily strategise or get into a clique."

She continues: "Even if someone who I'm not in an alliance with or who isn't a key player seems to be down or having a hard day, if I see them down I will try and make them feel better. The fact that I'm helping them, they'll remember that down the line, that I'm not just there for the game, I'm there for the people. When really, I'm just there for the game!"

Also admitting she'd like a secret alliance with one male, she'd "have him win the competitions that I can't do myself, and I'd have him do my dirty work too. That would be ideal."
