The veteran dancer has become the third star - after Evander Holyfield and Jasmine Waltz - to be kicked off of the reality show and while he will be glad to see his family, he was "sad" to leave.
Speaking after his eviction, he said: "It's sad to be out but I've missed my family so much."
While Lionel has left the show, there is talk Jasmine could be set for an "explosive" return to inject some drama back into the house.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Jasmine's return to the Big Brother house would be explosive. If Lee survives eviction then he will be thrilled to have her back.
"Their sexy antics were the talk of the series. But Casey won't be happy. The pair have unfinished business so there could be a real b***h fight.
"Jas has teased that she wants to go back to stir things up. Even if they put her back in for a day for a task, it would be enough to set the fur flying."
Jasmine is keen on a return, insisting the house will become a "snoozefest" without her there.
She said: "It's going to be a snoozefest now I'm gone. Who do you want to watch? Me or Liz Jones and Linda Nolan? If I could go back in I would jump at the chance and stir stuff up."
