Edele Lynch headed into the Celebrity Big Brother house when the show launched last week. Her sister Keavy is telling FemaleFirst her thoughts about what is going on inside the house in her new blog.

"First night of Celebrity big brother and I was a bag of nerves waiting to see who Edele would be lodging with for the next few weeks. I spent the night before with her and she was very anxious about leaving the kids for that long and who would be her housemates.

There are a variety of ages and nationalities in there and looks like a fun line up (or so it looked on the first night). Edele looked happy and confident going into the house and it was nice to see band mate Lindsay and my brother Shane (from Boyzone) waving her off and giving support. My first thought was that Edele would get on with Stephanie as she watches The Hills and the fact that Edele buys Lauren's eyelashes was a good icebreaker ha ha.

Everyone was on their best behaviour the first night, politely introducing themselves and getting to know one another. Little did we know it wouldn't last for long, the calm before the storm is an understatement.

Within the first day Gary's personality seemed to rub people up the wrong way and there were heated discussion presenting themselves. Not from our Edele though, we’ve seen her have a lot of patience and speak to Gary with kindness.

I could see that Edele has been uncomfortable watching the confrontation between Gary and many fellow housemates like James, Leslie and David. There seems to be a lot of hot-headed characters in there all fighting for the Alpha Male position. Who will win? We still don't know, it may be an on going fight right to the end which will an uncomfortable stay in the house if so.

I have enjoyed watching Edele and George having fun together. We've seen them larking about and online they jumped into the pool one night.

Up for a laugh the pair of them and I'd like to see more. I've also seen both of be them being the voice of reason in conflicts that seemed to be getting out of hand. Which brings me to Frenchy's melt down!!!!
Wow, intense!

It seems her bedtime rituals wind people up and it all kicked off. Leslie and James were not shy in swearing and telling her off in a very aggressive manner. Frenchy did not respond well, treat her like a child and she'll act like one.

She skipped around the bedroom shouting, then threw the food all over the pantry, cut up Leslie's boxer shorts and poured water all over the bedroom floor. Most of the housemates bitched behind her back about it but in stepped Edele 'the voice of reason' She spoke to her about it in a very adult manner and gave her the time to ask what was going on. Frenchy responded well to this and soon calmed down.

Kelly seems to be having a tough time in the house but from what we can see, her support from the housemates is great. We've seen Edele give her a big supportive hug when Kelly was feeling vulnerable, true Edele style.

Would be wrong of me not to mention Dee. I think she's great, I initially thought Edele would not like her because of how she was portrayed on 'Benefit Street'.

She seems so lovely, supportive to a lot of people in the house. Edele had a wobble on one of the days and Dee was so lovely to her. It was nice to see as I wanted to jump right into the TV and give Edele a hug so Thank You Dee :).

Task time and I knew it was bound to happen. Edele had to sing C'est La Vie, twice. Once as they sprayed a hose at her and covered the floor in pink gunge, it was vey funny to watch as she slipped and fell everywhere while still carrying on.

What was she wearing I here you ask? I'll give you one guess... You guessed it, the trusty old B*Witched wardrobe of double denim, pulling out all the stops Big Brother.

The second time was to try save herself from the scrap heap and she did, very pleased to see she still has a comfortable bed and is not up for the first eviction. I miss her but I'm pleased to say, I won't be seeing her Wednesday."
