Celebrity Big Brother will reportedly send Jim Davidson into the famous compound in January.
The comedian will appear in the upcoming series of the reality TV show after being cleared of historic sex offences yesterday (17.12.13), and hopes the Channel 5 programme will help restore his reputation.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "He was very keen on becoming a housemate the first time round so he's pleased that he can now look forward to that opportunity."
Jim was investigated by officers from Operation Yewtree and was later arrested in March over a separate incident in the Falklands in the 1980s.
When it was first rumoured Jim would be heading into the 'CBB' house, TV insiders tipped the former 'Big Break' host to win the show.
A source previously said: "Jim has always been honest about his own failings, and there's nothing the nation loves more than giving someone a second chance."
Jim is an early outsider to win the programme with bookmakers Paddy Power offering odds of 40/1 on him.
'The Only Way is Essex' beauty Sam Faiers is the current joint 8/1 favourite with Blue's Lee Ryan.
Other rumoured contestants in the running include Katie Price, N-Dubz star Dappy and Sam's ex-boyfriend Joey Essex, who are all 20/1.
A Paddy Power spokesperson said: "A whirlwind tour of the reality TV circuit could see Joey Essex finally bag a win at 20/1, but the odds suggest it could be an Essex girl instead that triumphs in the recently renovated Big Brother house."
