Danniella Westbrook has been offered £200,000 to appear on 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
The 41-year-old actress has been approached by the Channel 5 reality show's bosses, as they think she'd be "a great housemate", and want to give her a lifeline, having recently been sacked from 'Hollyoaks' before she had even filmed any scenes and suffering from numerous personal problems.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, a 'Big Brother' insider said: "Drama seems to follow Danniella around so bosses think she will be a great housemate.
"The deal is also a massive financial boost after her recent spell of bad luck."
The former 'Eastenders' star - who walked out of the jungle in the second series of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' - was due to reprise her role in 'Hollyoaks' as Trudy Ryan, but bosses said she had breached her contract.
However, Danniella claimed she couldn't film at the soap's Liverpool set because she feared for her safety after her cage fighter ex-boyfriend Tom Richards - who she alleged assaulted her in April - moved nearby.
Danniella - who lost her septum to cocaine in the 1990s - previously said: "I couldn't get Tom out of my life and thought the easiest way out was killing myself. That's why I used cocaine. I was medicating myself. It has always been my drug of choice."
Danniella is rumoured to be joined by actor Paul Danan and former supermodel Janice Dickinson in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house when the series kicks off in August.
