Big Brother stars Steven Goode and Kimberly Kisselovich may have only been married for a few weeks, but the pair are now considering splitting up after the latter - an American - has been told by authorities that she has to return to the US following the decline of an application for a new visa.

Formerly a model for Playboy, Kimberly got with Steven during their time in the Big Brother house, with the two even having sex on camera on the show. In the United Kingdom on a visa linked to her ex-boyfriend Sasha Freemind, she's now been asked to leave.

Despite Steven making a new application for his wife to remain and spending thousands of pounds in legal fees, it looks like Kimberly still may have to go.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Steven said: "We made an application for Kimberly to have permanent residency in the UK. Her previous visa was linked to her ex-partner, due to the fact their relationship had ceased, her visa became invalid. Hence our new application. Now it has been rejected for what we perceive as no apparent reason."

He went on to add it would be a "complete disaster" if she does go back to America, as they'd be forced to live apart because of Steven's business plans that prevent him from moving.

"It basically splits us for up for what could be many months of court battling."

Emotional about the situation, he added more in a comment that has been deemed by some fans of the show as flagrantly racist.

"Let me ask this, do you think it's fair a white American woman, who has a full-time job, is married to a UK citizen and investing money in a property in this country, is denied the right to live and work here?

"Would you choose Kim or an asylum seeker who is coming to ponce a council flat and handouts?"

The pair are now appealing the decision.
