Chloe Goodman has admitted the reason she was so traumatised when Jeremy Jackson began to peel back her robe in the Celebrity Big Brother bathroom is to do with the incident bringing back memories of when she was assaulted at the age of 18 by a photographer.
The reality star had been accused by some fans of the show for overreacting to the incident, but Chloe insists it caused the terrible memories to come flooding back to her.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday newspaper she explained: "Anyone who says I over-reacted doesn't know what it's like to be totally powerless at the hands of a man.
"I was absolutely terrified and it brought all those painful memories back. I consider myself a strong woman, but in that moment with Jeremy, I couldn't do anything.
"I was terrified. It took me right back to when it happened before. That incident when I was 18 really affected me. I thought I had dealt with it, but I obviously haven't."
Her incident with the photographer happened when she travelled to London from Brighton to see someone she thought was trustworthy, only for him to take advantage and try to grope Chloe.
"When I got to the studio we chatted, then I stripped down to my knickers so he could start taking pictures.
"He was trying to get me to pose in really horrible positions. I had only just started doing it, so I wasn't really confident enough to say no.
"I obviously wasn't comfortable with what was going on and he started getting annoyed. He was touching me, trying to show me what poses he wanted.
"Then he put his hand down my knickers. I was absolutely stunned - I didn't know what to do. I was s***ing myself, but I managed to get away.
"I got my phone out and I pretended I was speaking to my mum and that she was outside to pick me up, then I ran out of the studios."
