This series of Celebrity Big Brother has been one of the most interesting to-date, with the Year of the Woman theme allowing for some hugely important and compelling conversations to take place inside the house.
With one hugely diverse cast that includes the likes of showbiz legend Amanda Barrie and former Tory politician Ann Widdecombe, there have been a flurry of opinions thrown around and, for the majority of the time, respect given to each of the housemates in the compound.
Unfortunately for former Apprentice candidate Andrew Brady, one day in which he called Widdecombe a c**t and other words which the audience didn’t appreciate saw him fail to garner enough votes to save in last night’s (January 26) eviction.
Speaking with media following his eviction from the house, Andrew reaffirmed that he was heterosexual despite his close friendship with open pansexual and drag artist Shane Janek, aka Courtney Act, adding: “I don’t have a problem with anyone who isn’t, homosexual or anything in between. I do admire Shane and think he’s an amazing character. For me, born with the wrong genitals! That’s it, really.”
Pushed on whether he had a crush on Courtney, he went on to say: “Yeah, who doesn’t? Courtney is slamming. She’s got the boobs, the nice bum, in a tight dress, with big hair, with make-up… Yeah, in the house, she was the best-looking girl in there!”
In a house that included such beauties as Ex on the Beach’s Jess Impiazzi and former Made in Chelsea star Ashley James, those are some big words from Andrew, especially when he said he’d like to “smash” the latter following Ginuwine’s eviction from the house earlier in the week!
Though he made some enemies with the public during his time in the house, we think Andrew is a genuinely nice guy and a brilliant ally for the LGBT+ community. We hope his future is one filled with a prosperous and successful career!
Celebrity Big Brother continues each night on Channel 5, with the live final taking place on Friday, February 2.
