Simon Gross has become the first ever male first boot from the civilian Big Brother UK house after a twist saw him instantly evicted in new series Big Brother: Timebomb.
After around an hour in the house, housemates were called into the garden after viewers voted on a free poll which five contestants they'd like to take part in a twist that could see them richly rewarded or hugely disappointed.
Whilst Jack McDonnell and Jade-Martina Lynch both walked away happy with three immunity passes and luxury for the entire time in the house respectively, Nick Henderson was told he'd have to make nominations face-to-face each week whilst Adjoa Mensah got absolutely nothing. Simon Gross came off worse however, being kicked out of the house in a real, live launch show eviction.
Leaving to boos, the eccentric said to his fellow housemates: "Have a great time all of you... it's been fantastic... showbiz!"
He added to host Emma Willis: "For my five minutes of fame it was fantastic, I've got a career to go back to... it's showbiz! I've had so many rejections in my career it's just one of many, it's showbiz! I would have been fabulous but that's the way it goes. I think they will have a really fantastic summer."
Emma will drop a second timebomb on the housemates this coming Friday, May 15 in a special live episode. Viewers can now vote for free on the app on who they think should be the winner of the series. The housemate with the most votes won't be crowned the winner this Friday, but instead will discover their popularity - one that comes with a price, of making a huge decision that will affect the entire house.
Big Brother: Timebomb continues tonight at 10pm on Channel 5.
