Channel 5 have today revealed that Big Brother UK will be revealing their selection of housemates for this summer two days before launch in a move that's never been done before in the British version of the show's history.

Commencing at 00:01am on Friday May 8, the Big Brother: Timebomb 48-hour countdown is to tick away on the official Twitter feed (@BBUK) and on the official Big Brother website.

Once that countdown hits zero at 00:01am on Sunday, May 10, all of this year's brand new housemates are to be revealed on both platforms. Fans will then have two days to get to know the new faces before watching them walk live into the house, after meeting Emma Willis and the Big Brother crowd.

Big Brother is promising that from the moment the housemates walk through the doors, they'll enter the world of Timebomb.

Big Brother: Timebomb Live Launch officially kicks off on Tuesday, May 12 at 9pm on Channel 5.
