This year’s first civilian Big Brother eviction has taken place, with People’s Housemate Tom sending Mandy home when the audience failed to ring in and give her enough votes to save, alongside her fellow housemate Imran.
In the bottom two with Imran, the decision as to who should be sent home was left with Tom, and he decided that the mother from the mother and daughter duo that went into the house should be sent straight back out of the door.
Saying her goodbyes, Mandy was greeted by cheering audiences and a beaming Emma Willis.
Asked how it was to be sent home first, Mandy said she was angry and that “Tom has a game plan”, adding; “Tom’s got about three brain cells”. She admitted she thought the power he had been given was used by the housemate to get rid of those he felt most threatened by, and said; “I think he felt threatened by Charlotte and I as a couple.”
Then speaking about her daughter Charlotte who remains in the house, she admitted she “doesn’t have much in common with the glossy girls”, said she was “a one off” and thinks she’ll miss her “ridiculous amounts”.
With Mandy out of the door, Big Brother will host its next eviction live from the house with Emma Willis next Friday at 9pm on Channel 5.
Big Brother continues each night on Channel 5, with Big Brother’s Bit on the Side also back with host Rylan Clark-Neal.
