Big Brother Canada returned last night for its third season, and what a launch show we were all treated to on Global! With 16 all-new houseguests entering their new home, they were greeted with some great new surroundings with a steamworks theme - but no furniture. All of the house's belongings as well as their own personal belongings were being kept in a secret vault - something they were to be told more about at a later date.
Going live to the house soon after their entry, host Arisa Cox explained that the first big twist of the season would be happening right away, with every contestant becoming the Head of Household and being given two nominations to make in secret in the Diary Room.
When all 16 had made their nominations, the two with the most would go into the Power Of Veto competition fighting for their Big Brother lives.
Taking the most nominations was 'Sindy with an S' at eight, whilst Risha wasn't too far behind with five nominations. They were joined by Bobby, Kevin, Zach and Naeha in the Power of Veto competition which saw them fighting to crack a code. The men were randomly shirtless, which was a strangely delightful treat but a tad unneccessary.
Sindy eventually won the competition, taking herself off the block in the Instant Power of Veto ceremony and choosing to replace herself with Pilar, who has so far been given very, very little air-time.
Not only did this twist occur, but the public were then told that they would be choosing which houseguest to keep and which to send home - a decision which can now be made online at https://bigbrothercanada.globaltv.com/
Big Brother Canada continues with its next episode Wednesday, March 25 at 9pm ET/PT on Global.
