This week's Big Brother Canada eviction saw Ika Wong sent home by a vote of 8 to 1, before Arisa Cox made a major announcement to the house.
The decision was made after Ika won a rewards-based challenge called 'Letters From Home', where she privately went to the backyard to claim her prize.
Without knowing the houseguests were watcing her on the screen inside, Ika had to make the decision of choosing between getting every houseguest remaining a letter from home, or $5,000 for herself. She chose the money, and shredded the letters.
This week, there will be no Head of Household competition, as it is the residents of Canada who hold the power of putting two housemates up on the chopping block.
Viewers can go to the Big Brother Canada website and nominate two housemates, and the results are to be announced on Sunday night's show.
Big Brother Canada airs three nights a week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 9pm ET/PT on Slice. The Big Brother Canada Side Show airs Thursdays at 10pm ET/PT.
