It's been revealed that Bollywood beauty Shilpa Shetty hasn't had it easy when trying to carve out a career for herself.The 31 year old star talked to Cleo and H earlier about her battle to keep her "fame" in India and is quoted as saying in the Sun newspaper: “After my first film I was dubbed as ‘the next big thing’."But the media turned on me and there were times I hardly got any work. They said things like I wore too much make-up."The actress insists that her make - up artist was responsible. Jobs were also thin on the ground during her relationship with fellow Bollywood idol Akshay Kumar. Those making films didn't want to cast her due to the fact she wasn't "marketable" as somebody attainable to movie-goers.However Shilpa appeared grateful when she disclosed: "In the last two years things have changed. Everything is a lot more open".H also chipped in with:"It's a bit like having to keep quiet if you're gay and in a pop group".
