Silence hit the BB House in the early hours of this morning. From just after 1am when the last inmate retreated to their sleeping pit, until just after 9am today, ages after Ian and Jermaine had got up, not one word was uttered. No words - not even a "cheers" "hello" or "a". Just quietness. The Big Brother bosses must think it's a record in the history of the programme - and it does appear to be a long period of time for a property containing nine individuals to be completely silent. Even when Leo Sawyer became a mute waiter there was more noise. It was at 1:02 and seven seconds that Cleo said the final sentence of the night, commenting to Shilpa as she nipped to the loo: "I'm just going to go now so I don't wake everyone up." She didn't either. Not until 7.30am did another inmate wake up, when Ian got out of bed quite early. He wandered about on his own for a bit, until Jermaine stirred too. But they didn't share as much as a 'good morning'. Instead Jermaine went immediately to the cooking area, where he began to peel spuds at an amazing speed. We can't find a reason as to why he was doing so, as soon as he got up, but he did.....It was around this time that the paths of the pair met, with Mr Watkins inhaling deeply and taking away the House's apparent vow of of silence. "Sleep good?" he enquired.
Jermaine answered bluntly: "Rock."
Makes a change from all the loud quarrells in the House though doesn't it?
