Nominated housemate Jeremy let his competitive side show when he was talking about his career as a racing car driver last night.

He informed group that he can be a less than gracious winner, as when he overtakes other cars he has to fight the urge to gloat. He admitted: "When I've overtaken someone I really feel like just turning around and waving and smiling at them." As he told his fellow housemates about racing he said: "I love beating people. Standing on the podium when you've come second or third is the worst thing ever."

The main topic of conversation in the house yesterday was centred around the way Big Brother could be editing footage to make any of them look bad. Victor, who yesterday watched series of clips in the diary room which he thought made him come across as "a fucking animal." He admitted he was looking forward to seeing how the E4 shows are put together, speculating that it would be "ridiculous. Other members of the group agreed that Big Brother have the power to manipulate what the public and each other see and hear. "They make you see what they want you to see," said Nathan. Amy was another who seemed resigned to the idea that Big Brother was up to tricks: "They will always take the worst sentence," she said, so that things are "massively exaggerated," while Latoya mused: "You could be the nicest person, but I guarantee they'll find a part where they'll get you."

On a slightly happier note, Calista was overjoyed when Big Brother finally asked her to come to the Diary Room as Big Brother had never summoned her before, instead leaving it to her to request access.

As she sat in the bedroom, Big Brother said: "Could Calista please come to the Diary Room." Upon hearing this she jumped off the bed squealing, and ran to the bathroom to put her lipstick on. She said: "Oh my God! This is the first time I have been asked to come to the Diary Room. I'm so excited I'm going to wet myself. Can I go to the toilet first, Big Brother?"
