Nancy Dell'Olio Says No

Celebrity Big Brother bosses tried to sign Ulrika Jonsson and her former love rival Nancy Dell’Olio for the new series.

The producers had hoped that Swedish Jonsson and Italian Dell'Ollio would fight over dating of Sven Goran Eriksson.

couple of celebrities this year who said they would only do the show as long as this person or that person wasn’t in it

However their secret plan backfired when Ulrika picked up rumours about the plot and told producers of the Channel 4 show if her old enemy was there she would quit the show.

Big Brother creative director Phil Edgar-Jones admitted they had a couple of celebrities this year who said they would only do the show as long as this person or that person wasn’t in it.

Show chiefs were planning to cause mischief when the show starts on Friday and knew the other contestants would be angry as it would put them out of the spotlight.

After signing former weathergirl Ulrika, they went after rival Nancy, who former England Chief Sven, 60, cheated on with Ulrika back in 2002.

A show insider told Britains Daily Star Newspaper: "You can imagine how the fur would fly if they’d got both of them locked in the house. Ratings would be sky high. "However, only Ulrika is on board. She might still spill some more beans about Sven though."

Although Channel 4 refused to confirm it is well known Ulrika is among the line-up of 11 stars which also includes Mini Me actor Verne Troyer, 39, Liberty X babe Michelle Heaton, 28, and A1 singer Ben Adams, 27.

CBB chiefs revealed that they have bowed down to a few more demands from some of the stars to get them on the show.

Show executive producer Sharon Powers said: There are no cameras in the loo or the shower to give them some privacy. A number of celebs asked for gym equipment and we decided to put some in. "We have also had some things people asked us not to put in the house because they have phobias. There are also some medical issues - like people with back problems - which we have to bear in mind for tasks.

Celebrity Big Brother starts on Friday at 9pm on Channel4.
