This week there have been countless news articles reporting that Caitlyn Jenner will be joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when its eighth season goes into production.
Various news outlets stated Jenner had been in talks with staff at Bravo about joining the show, following the cancellation of her own reality series on E!, I Am Cait. The trans celebrity will also be releasing her memoir later this year, titled Secrets Of My Life.
Reaching out to producer Andy Cohen about the speculation, the reunion host confirmed to us that it was “all talk” and that Jenner would not be joining the cast:
The news should come as a welcome relief to fans, as Jenner has no business being around Housewives that she has no former ties to. The reality in the Housewives franchise is that they at least all know of one another and have been together at various events and had passing conversations in the past. We’ve never even heard Jenner’s name mentioned in the seven seasons of Beverly Hills to-date.
Jenner has been a huge figure in the public eye as of late, publicly supporting Donald Trump on his presidential campaign, before turning her back on the President earlier this year when she insinuated he broke his promise “to protect the LGBTQ community.”

Asking the President to call her, she posted a short video to her social media accounts in order to gain his attention. Nothing has been made public however about whether or not any further contact between the two was made.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continues Tuesdays in the US on Bravo and Wednesdays in the UK on hayu.
