Britain’s Got Talent returns to the small screen later this month, with Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden all heading back to the judging panel. One judge in particular is a little different to his usual self however, according to Holden.
Speaking to The Mirror, she said: “It’s really unnerved me. He’s [Simon] being really nice. I don’t like it. It’s like, ‘Why are you being so nice?’ He’s wanting to know much more about every single contestant.
“He’s delving really deeply into people’s personal lives, asking about their motivations, how they feel, how happy they are. It’s absolutely hysterical, he’s talking to me about Pinterest like it’s a brand new thing.”
Simon of course had his say, adding: “I’ve always been interested in people. It’s important to me, even as a head of a label, that I get to know as much as I can in a short space of time. So I do ask a lot of questions.”
It is true that for the past few years and after Cowell became a father for the first time, he seems to have mellowed on television despite who he’s watching. We’re sure he’ll still be there with his cutting jibes whenever an act gets on his nerves, however…
Britain’s Got Talent returns to ITV at 8pm this Saturday, April 15.
