The X Factor Gang
Oh dear, why can’t the X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing just get along? It’s seems that it’s us poor fans who are going to suffer as well as the two shows are going head to head from now on.
We’re not mad at ITV though, because let’s face it, they were there first, but those folks over at the Beeb are determined to stand firm in their sequin encrusted outfits, and announced plans to show SCD at the same time as ITV’s X Factor! Boo!
Whilst the new Strictly series will start at 7.25pm on BBC1, just 35 minutes before The X Factor starts over on ITV1, thus meaning the shows will overlap by 65 minutes.
Whist the BBC are claiming that they have no choice but to use that slot, ITV are accusing them of ruining viewers' Saturday nights… and I have to admit, we’re on the side of ITV, wouldn’t it make more sense to show one after the other? Then we could just flick over after one show ended, and surely ITV and the BBC would both get great ratings?
