Probably the most famous couple to come out of reality TV is Peter Andre and Katie Price. Supermodel Katie Price, or Jordan as she was then known, and Peter Andre met on I’m a Celebrity Get Me out of Here in 2004. The couple instantly hit it off and went on to have a four year relationship including marriage and two children. Recently Price mentioned her ex husband in the dedication page of her latest book, bet her new husband was pleased.

The Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have had somewhat of a rocky relationship from the start. Their romance has never been simple on or off screen. Since The Hills finale the couple have been reported to be renewing their vows, splitting up, getting a divorce and planning to appear in a new reality TV show. With this couple we may never be able to distinguish between reality and reality TV.

Tiffany Pollard accepted a ring from Tailor Made in the season finale of I Love New York 2. However the relationship ended shortly after the reunion show, when the contestant broke up with Tiffany aka New York.

The turbulent on screen relationship of Chanelle Hayes and Ziggy Lichman in Big Brother 9 continued after the cameras stopped rolling. After a super short (and seemingly rocky) relationship the pair didn’t end on the best of terms with Chanelle branding Ziggy a ‘kiss-and-tell love rat’ after he sold stories of their relationship to newspapers.

In a devilish twist, Big Brother entered non-celebrity Chantelle Houghton into the Celebrity Big Brother house and told her she could stay if she could convince the celebrity contestants she was part of a girl group. After successfully earning her place in the house Chantelle began an on screen romance with Ordinary Boys frontman Samuel Preston. The couple married after only eight months and divorced ten months later. Despite rumours of a reunion after Ultimate Big Brother in 2010 the couple remain as friends.

X Factor stars Diana Vickers and Eoghan Quigg shared an off screen romance during the show in 2009. Vickers broke up with her boyfriend whilst filming the X Factor, but after being booted off the show before Eoghan she said she needed to spend time with her ex. Diana now claims to have a new man in her life.

Big Brother 2 contestants Helen Adams and Paul Clarke called it a day in 2006 after a five year relationship. After leaving the Big Brother house the pair set up home together in London but they said the pressures of fame and living away from home caused tensions in their relationship.

Yet another reality TV couple to come out of Big Brother was the unlikely pairing of Pete Bennett and Nikki Graham. Yes that’s right ‘was’. After being evicted from the house Nikki claimed to be in love with Pete, she was then voted back in to rejoin her new man. The two split just weeks after the show ended.

The first ever America’s Next top Model winner, Adrianne Curry, and Christopher Knight who played Peter Brady on the 70s hit The Brady Bunch, met while filming The Surreal Life in 2004. The reality TV show see’s C-list celebrities living in a Hollywood Hills home and being filmed 24/7. After the show finished the couple began a serious relationship before moving in together and getting married in 2006. The couple are still going strong seven years after they met, a break from the norm with reality couples it seems.
