Dancing With The Stars - The stars took to the dancefloor again Monday night as the show featured two of the most unforgiving dances to ever hit the ballroom.
This week though some of the focus was taken off the contestants and turned on political mum Sarah Palin, there to cheer on daughter Bristol. Sarah Palin received more off-the-floor camera time than any of the shows celebrities on hand, stealing the spotlight much to the disapproval of sections of the audience who 'boo'd' Palin senior, though it may have been aimed at Bruno and company.
The doubt surfaced just after Jennifer Grey, wowed the crowd for the second week in a row with a jive that proved her Viennese waltz was no fluke. She can dance. The fact that she can pull off an up-tempo routine at 50 years old and with a metal plate in her neck just makes it all the more impressive. It was worth the 24 points the judging the panel awarded her.
Then a few moments after Grey got her scores, the groans came from the gallery, the actress asked aloud what it was all about, then we see to the former governor of Alaska seated next to Tom Bergeron.
So was the vocal protest aimed at the judges for not giving “Baby” Gray a higher score, or were they remonstrating at Tom's political partner?
Either way it set the tone as the booers took plenty other opportunities to have their muffled moans heard. What about the young Palin, who despite the top reviews she got from the judges, performed a boring and positively confused quickstep?
The still rather stiff Michael Bolton filed to convince with his “Hound Dog” jive, even a crawl from the dog house, failed to lift this complete mess of a dance.
That said, Bruno Tonioli, labelled it the worst jive in the history of the show awarding it a mere three a score not seen since season eight.
