It's a silly decision to go on one of the country's biggest reality television series when you have a shady history on social media, especially when you don't take the time to go back and moderate all of your silly tweets, messages or Facebook posts left in years passed.

Alas that's exactly what some of the contestants on this year's edition of Big Brother have done - namely Danny Wisker and Marc O'Neill. Whether you're on Team Marc or Team Danny during their constant bickering, goading and aggression, it's hard to defend some of the words they've typed in the past. The pair are, you see, URL Badmen.

So, let's start with Marc. Currently favourite to win Big Brother: Timebomb. Should we be surprised after the disastrous result of last year? Anyway, here's a little gem from your future £150,000 prize fund pocketer.

Sweet, right? I've seen people attempt to defend this. 'He's just bantering with his friend!' 'He supports the LGBT community!' - sorry, not gonna fly. Even if this is just "banter" (my least favourite word of the 2010s), using a derogatory term on a public platform to shame a friend into going out for drinks backs up the notion that a "faggot", AKA a homosexual is a bad thing to be.

But Danny doesn't get off lightly either. He does the exact same thing. It's all a part of this hideous 'lad culture' the UK have formed:

Then there's Danny's attacks on former Celebrity Big Brother contestant, fiancée to Kirk Norcross and glamour model Cami Li. Don't get me wrong, she's not without her hideous history, but does anybody deserve abuse such as this?

And he didn't let his attack on Celebrity Big Brother contestants end there, sending a tweet of abuse to Chloe Goodman upon her eviction earlier this year:

With Danny playing the good guy in the house, the man who takes down the bullies and defends the people who need it most, many have been drawn to his personality. But this keyboard warrior mentality that he has had up until at least just six months ago is extremely off-putting.

Now, where were we with Marc? He doesn't just leave his abuse on Twitter - he actually takes the time to troll cancer victims and wish cancer on the already suffering.

As if that wasn't enough, he's also a racist - and here's the evidence:

Despite claiming to regret what he said in the house to Sam earlier on in the series, talking about how he'd love to do sexual things to her to cause her pain because it'd be a huge turn-on for him, it's not the first time he's referenced something like that, even threatening to 'rape' a person 'to death' on Twitter.

Banter? Nope. Just a guy going way, way too far.

So the public now have one chance to redeem the reality show that is Big Brother. Give the win to someone deserving. Someone who has entertained but who isn't an evil Twitter fiend.

We've got the chance to get Marc out of the house in this week's eviction, so make sure you vote and save Jack whose worst crime is being grumpy.

Big Brother: Timebomb continues daily on Channel 5, with the finale airing in two weeks on Thursday, July 16.
