Zara Holland has quit 'Love Island' because of a family illness.
The blonde beauty, who was stripped of her Miss Great Britain title during her stint on the programme, said that although she was sad to leave the show, she considered her mother's health to be her top priority.
In a statement, Zara explained: "I'm so sad to leave the villa but it's important for me to get home and spend time with my mum while she gets better.
"I've had the time of my life on 'Love Island' and would like to thank all of my fellow Islanders and the production team for all their support."
ITV also added: "Our thoughts are with her and her family and we send all of our best wishes."
The announcement comes shortly after Zara had her coveted title taken away from her because she was filmed having sex with Alex Bowen on the ITV2 dating show.
After learning of the news, Zara broke down in tears on the programme, telling her fellow 'Love Island' co-stars: "They're taking my title off me."
However, a source on the show previously insisted that the other girls on the show were sympathetic to Zara's situation.
The insider said: "She told the house and the girls - even the new ones - gathered and rallied around her. They seemed to be consoling her as it wasn't the greatest news."
Meanwhile, ITV has confirmed that the door has been left open for Zara to return to the show depending on circumstances in the 'Love Island' villa.
