Will.i.am wants his friend Cheryl Tweedy to join 'The Voice'.
The Black Eyed Peas singer has been a coach on the ITV singing show since it first hit television screens in 2010 and, although he's willing to work with anyone who joins the programme, he has admitted it would be "dope" if the 34-year-old star sat alongside him on the panel next year.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: "It would be dope to have Cheryl on 'The Voice'. That would be cool. It would be pretty cool for us to work together."
The 42-year-old rapper famously managed the brunette beauty's solo career until they went their separate ways in 2013 but, despite their professional split, they've always remained close friends.
Will.i.am's determination to get Cheryl on the popular show, which was previously screened on BBC until ITV swiped it from the broadcaster in a mega deal earlier this year, comes after it was reported that 'The X Factor' boss Simon Cowell was trying to persuade her to return to his programme for the Judges' Houses round in October.
A source said previously: "Simon wants to pull out all the stops for this year's show, and bagging Cheryl's long-awaited return to telly would be one of his top wishes."
And if the 57-year-old music mogul does manage to get his own way, it'll certainly be a massive coup as Cheryl hasn't made any public appearances since she gave birth to her son Bear, whom she has with boyfriend Liam Payne, four months ago.
The insider explained: "It would be telly gold ... Nothing's decided yet, but bosses are very fond of Cheryl and when she's ready to do something, of course we'd be interested."
Cheryl initially joined 'The X Factor' as a judge in 2008 - during which time she mentored Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry to victory - but she left in 2010, before returning four years later.
